The Wrist Thumb Spica is a rigid orthosis designed to immobilize the carpometacarpal (CMC), metacarpophalangeal (MCP), and radiocarpal joints, providing comprehensive support for a range of upper extremity conditions.
Constructed from a breathable, skin-friendly material with a malleable internal support structure, this brace allows clinicians to customize fit and compression without compromising immobilization.
The brace is commonly prescribed in orthopedic, hand therapy, and primary care settings for:
De Quervain’s tenosynovitis
Basal thumb osteoarthritis (OA)
Post-fracture stabilization or cast removal
UCL injury (Gamekeeper’s or Skier’s thumb)
Wrist sprains and ligament strains
With its low-profile design and strap-based closure system, the Wrist Thumb Spica allows for easy donning/doffing, promotes compliance, and is ideal for conservative management or as part of post-op protocols.
HCPCS Code L3807 eligible. Available for left or right hand.

excellent support and comfort
I quite like this. I have a custom post-surgical splint, but the thumb is held at a greater angle and gets in the way of winter clothes. This suits my needs of thumb immobility and wrist support while holding the thumb closer in to the hand. The thumb strap could be wider to help hold the thumb in place, but overall, this splint is comfortable and does what I need it to do.

Nice fit
Liking the removable wrist strap. It's great if you have a protruding ulna.

Very Comfortable Design for a Brace
I am finally getting the healing and pain relief I needed for my injury thanks to the design of this brace. I love the way the brace has the thumb splint fully supported along the side and doesn't cause any pressure sores compared to other braces on the market that just sew a thumb onto a wrist brace. Having the middle wrist strap removable to decrease pressure over the ulnar head is also a plus not seen on other braces. Very highly recommended!

Excellent
I purchased these for both wrists a couple of weeks ago for worsening carpal tunnel symptoms plus some medial nerve issues with my thumb. Since I have a back brace from BioSkin, I thought I'd try the splints too. These are lightweight, very comfortable, and very supportive. Highly recommended.
